Course Delivery & Shipping Policy
Recademics is primarily a digital education company — our boating safety courses are delivered 100% online, and you can start learning the moment you check out. For states that require a physical boater education card, a printed card is also mailed to you after you successfully complete the course. This page explains how each part of that delivery works.
1. Instant Course Access
As soon as your purchase is complete, you'll receive instant access to your online boating safety course. A confirmation email with your login details and a direct link to begin the course is sent to the email address you provided at checkout. You can study at your own pace on any device, and your progress is saved automatically.
2. Instant Digital Temporary Certificate
The moment you pass the final exam, your digital temporary boating safety certificate is issued and made available to download and print from your account dashboard. In most states this temporary certificate lets you legally operate a boat right away while you wait for your permanent card to arrive.
3. Physical State Card Delivery
Whether you receive a physical card depends on the state your course is approved in:
- Some states issue a digital-only boater education card and do not mail a physical card at all — your downloadable certificate is your permanent credential.
- Other states issue a physical boater education card that is mailed to you after course completion. Depending on the state, that card is fulfilled either by Recademics or by the state boating agency (or its authorized partner).
Delivery times for physical cards are set by the issuing state agency and vary from state to state — typically in the range of 2–6 weeks where applicable, depending on your state's processing and mailing schedule. Recademics cannot guarantee a specific delivery date for state-issued cards.
4. Shipping Address
To make sure any physical card reaches you, please enter an accurate mailing address when you register for the course. Double-check your street address, apartment or unit number, city, state, and ZIP code before submitting — corrections after a card has been mailed can be slow and, in some cases, may require ordering a replacement.
